This week on Saturday Morning we feature the new solo project from Sweden’s Karin Dreijer Andersson, Fever Ray. Both the name of the project and album, it reflects the intensity and anxiety, as well as the luminescence, of the music. This is an album of hypnotic music and half-formed thoughts written during the months after Dreijer Andersson delivered her second baby. She says she prefers to write in that “awake but exhausted” dream-like state. Her music is like a beautiful, and at times chilling, sonic translation of that state.
