This week’s feature artist is Beirut. We played cuts from Beirut’s 2006 releases, Gulag Orkestar and Lon Gisland. Also, as usual, we mixed in a bunch of new music from established and emerging artist. Base on phone feedback, Beirut, Toumani Diabate’s Symmetric Orchestra, and the Shackeltons were the big favorites. Thanks for your input.
Next week, I plan to have an interview with singer/song writer Peter Siegal. Peter will be playing some of his music and talking with us about his current plans and new CD.
By the way, if you leave a comment here, which I hope you will, please leave you name and an email address if you would like to hear back from me.
Here’s this weeks playlist. Thanks all. Have a great week.
